From our hives to your table-

Beekeeping is more than a craft—it’s a relationship with nature.

Honey Bee Mine is service-disabled veteran owned small business in Middle Tennessee. We personally operate bee yards in Rutherford, Williamson, Wilson, and Lincoln Counties. Our passion is producing honey and raising gentle and productive bees that are well suited for this area. We offer spring nucleus colonies (nucs) for sale as well as limited number of overwintered nucs.

Our unfiltered raw local honey is used to make our “Nick’s Hot Honey”, creamed honey and other seasonal goodies.

We are certified Pick Tennessee and Homegrown by Heroes producer!

Did you know…

  • 1/3 of the food we eat benefits from insect pollination. Pollinators can also result in larger, more flavorful fruits and higher crop yields. Some of the major U.S. crops that are pollinated by honey bees and other pollinators include almonds, non-citrus fruits, berries, melons, and squash.

  • Honey bees produce beeswax from eight paired glands on the underside of their abdomen. To produce one pound of beeswax, honey bees must consume about 6-8 pounds of honey

  • Honey bees are the only insect that produces food that humans eat. A single bee can produce one tablespoon of honey in its lifetime, and a pound of honey is made by bees visiting 2-2.2 million flowers and flying 55,000+ miles back and forth
